Literature Text

You are all that's left in the world,
The entirety of the good in me
Lost without your mind, I escape to insanity
Lost without your touch, my nerves burn out and dry
I cannot move but twitch,
And I cannot wish but die

I watch the clock by day,
I hear her tick by night
I dream of you and sleep away the rest behind my eyes
You left me beneath ashes and under ten tons of sea
Lost beyond the stars I sink
I cannot breathe but deep.

You laugh beyond the stars,
At the edge of galaxy
Left the sun and system behind
You left the earth and me
I touch the seabed in the dark, my lungs filled full with Ocean
She sighs and stretches into my veins
'Till all my cells have bursted.

Devastated in a way
I still don't understand
I gently trace these cracked lips
With violent trembling hands
I sit and think back to a time
Ten light years away
A time where Ocean met Quasar
On the sand at the dawn of day.

You were all that was good in the world,
You were all that was good in me
How could something so very good
Wreck me with such ease?
lol this one took 5ever
not six months...but anyway
sorry it's been so long.

I am ten light years too late
You are ten light years too far
I resign myself to fate
As I rip myself apart.

^was initially in the poem itself before i finally resigned myself to the fact that it simply didn't work. so here it is, bc i still like it lol
